VALLEY OF THE MOON - KARI HIKING (Half day) (Approximate duration: 1.5 hrs. to 2 hours. 6 km. Difficulty: Medium)
16.00 hrs. Hike through the Kari ravine, crossing the canyon formed by an ancient river, now dry, which leads through the Cordillera de la Sal. It is worth the visit for the unique landscape and the fascinating rock formations. On the hike, you can learn about the shape of this mountain range and its heart of gypsum, clay and salt that compose it. The name of the Quebrada comes from the kunza, and means "brown", like the color of the canyon.
This is an easy hike, which only requires skill to hold on using hands and feet on a wall that must be passed at the beginning and at the end of the excursion.
From Kari, we continue to the Valley of the Moon, to visit the Amphitheater, the Three Marias. Return to San Pedro.
