Located about 30 km south of San Pedro de Atacama, within the Gran Salar de Atacama, you can find a surprising variety of lagoons. In the first place the Cejas, turquoise green, with shores formed by almost white salt crusts, and with a high concentration of salts in its waters, which allows you to float effortlessly as if you were in the Dead Sea. Continuing to the south are the Ojos del Salar ("Eyes of the Salt Flat"), two circular lagoons of fresh water and great depth, where the ground has sunk and groundwater has emerged.
Finally, the Tebinquiche lagoon is visited, where we await sunset with a 360º view and the reflection of the mountains and all the drama offered by occasional clouds. In summer, this lagoon transforms into a small white salt flat.
