Day 1
Airport Calama - San Pedro de Atacama.

Transfer from Calama Airport to San Pedro de Atacama.

 

Day 2
In the morning MARS VALLEY HORSEBACK RIDING.

You will visit the canyon and labyrinths of the Marte Valley following the old cattle trail that carried animals from Argentina to the Pacific coast. You can also follow the tracks through the dunes and access the labyrinth, entering the Cordillera de la Sal mountain range, for an unforgettable and unique experience.

IN THE AFTERNOON: VALLE DE LA LUNA (MOON VALLEY).   

Pick up at your hotel between 14.00 and 14.40 hrs.

We leave San Pedro de Atacama to visit the Cordillera de la Sal, and the Valley of the Moon, named after the Jesuit priest Gustavo Le Paige who traveled through this area in his archaeological explorations before the development of tourism. Visiting the dunes and valleys it is possible to observe the "lunar" characteristics that led the priest to name it this way. Visit the Three Marias, the Great Dune and the Amphitheatre, the main attractions of the Valley of the Moon.

Return to San Pedro de Atacama at approximately 19.00 hrs.

Day 3
Lagoons Miscanti and Meñiques, Chaxa lagoon and Piedras Rojas.

Pick up between 6.00 and 6.40 a.m. From San Pedro de Atacama we leave early in the morning, heading to the south of the oasis, we continue through the basin of the Great Salar de Atacama, and we go to the National Reserve of the Flamingos Soncor sector (Laguna Chaxa), where we will visit a reproduction and nesting area (spring - summer) of the flamingos that live in Chile.  Then we continue through the Cordillera de Los Andes towards the Puna. During the trip it is possible to observe the numerous volcanoes of almost 6.000 m.a.s.l. like the Simba or Aguas Calientes (5.930 m.a.s.l.), the Pili or Acamarachi (6.050 m.a.s.l.) and the active Lascar. Their summits accompany us until we reach the beautiful Altiplanic Lagoons, Miscanti and Meñiques where the hill of the same name (Meñiques with 5.910 m.a.s.l.) imposes itself.

From the lagoons we continue to the Salar de Aguas Calientes, and then to the Salar de Talar, where we will visit the impressive rock formations known as "Piedras Rojas". The views of the salt flat are breathtaking.  From here we return to San Pedro. During the journey we reach an altitude of approximately 4.200 m.a.s.l. 

Return to San Pedro de Atacama at around 17.30 hrs.

Day 4
In the morning Quitor - Garganta del Diablo - San Isidro Church - Catarpe Valley - Dinosaurs Valley - E-Bike tour.

Schedule: 
Morning: 08.30 a.m. to 12.00 hrs.  
Excursion by electric bicycle, following the San Pedro River towards the north.
During the trip we will pass through the Quitor Fortress (we will not visit it) and we will enter the Devil's Throat following its narrow canyons, until we reach the old church of San Isidro located on a small hill overlooking the Catarpe Valley.
During the return we will see the Valley of the Dinosaurs.  We will do the last 2 km to get to San Pedro on the road.


In the afternoon CEJAR LAGOON - OJOS DEL SALAR (EYES OF THE SALT LAKE) ANDY TEBENQUICHE.

Pick up from your hotel between 14.30 and 15.10 hrs.

The tour to Cejar Lagoon, Ojos del Salar, and Tebinquiche Lagoon in San Pedro de Atacama is a unique experience that allows you to explore some of the most stunning natural attractions in the area.

Day 5
Rainbow valley and petroglyphs of Yerbas Buenas.

Pick up from the hotel between 7.00 and 7.40 in the morning.

From San Pedro we head west, to the Sierra de Barros Arana, crossing its hills and canyons where it is possible to find Guanacos feeding on the bushes, herbs and cacti that they have learned to eat in this arid landscape. We continue along the access road to the old town of Río Grande (not visited) to reach a deep and colorful canyon, the Rainbow Valley, crossing its ocher, reddish green and white hills. Time to walk through the different exploration trails.

Also visit the archaeological site of the Yerbas Buenas Petroglyphs. This old place of traffic and rest of the caravans that traveled from the Altiplano to the sea, is a true open-air museum, where talented artists left their paintings and drawings, capturing in stone an imperishable memory of the life of the first inhabitants. American people.

Return after 13:00 p.m. to San Pedro by way of beautiful panoramic views.

Day 6
Tatio Geyser.

Pick up from the hotel between 4.30 and 5.10 am.

The Tatio Geyser tour is a unique experience that will take you to know one of the most impressive geothermal fields in the world. You can enjoy the majesty of the geysers in full activity, observe the fumaroles and hot water pools, and marvel at the lunar landscape that surrounds this natural wonder. In addition, you will have the opportunity to observe birds and animals native to the high Andean areas, which inhabit the wetlands and ravines that are crossed along the way until you reach the Tatio Geysers geothermal field, the entire trip of approximately 90 km is a real safari.

Located more than 4,500 meters above sea level, the Tatio Geysers offer an impressive spectacle every day at dawn. Most of the time it is possible to see, thanks to the temperature differences, the steam chimneys and water jets that emerge as columns in this surreal phenomenon. Surrounded by the Andes in a ghostly atmosphere, the dawn illuminates this beautiful spectacle.

Return around 11.30 a.m. to San Pedro de Atacama.

 

Day 7
Salt flat route.

Pick up from the hotel between 7.00 and 7.40 am. Full day excursion reaching 4,500 m.a.s.l. From San Pedro we head east, traveling along the international route to Argentina. We will cross the Andes Mountain Range, between the beautiful Licancabur and Juriques volcanoes and continue with views of the Bolivian Andes, Salares and plains full of colors and rock formations with the typical colors of the Puna. The road borders the Quepiaco wetland, habitat of several birds and mammals such as Vicuñas that graze in the “bofedal” (wetland). The Pili and the many volcanoes in the sector surround the route. The road rises up to 4,900 m.a.s.l. crossing the pass of the Pacana, to reach the Monjes de la Pacana, giant rocks scattered in a terrain of smooth hills and plains, which resemble true gigantic moais. Continue to the Salar de Quisquiro, Laguna Negra and Laguna Diamante.

Return to San Pedro de Atacama at approximately 15.00 hrs.
