Uyuni Salt flats 3 Days / 2 Night
The trip takes us to a hidden place in the heart of the Bolivian Altiplano, with awesome landscapes and pristine nature. The trip is made in small vehicles that offer mobility in this difficult-to-access place.
Much of the route is done at more than 4,000 thousand meters above sea level, so good acclimatization beforehand is recommended. It is also recommended to eat light meals the day before the trip, bring warm clothing, several layers, sunglasses, sunscreen, swimwear, toilet paper, and 2 liters of water per person.
DAY 1
SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA – HITO CAJÓN (Chilean / Bolivian border) – MALLKU CUEVA HOTEL (Bolivia).
07:00 a.m. Departure from San Pedro de Atacama Heading to Hito Cajón, Chile and Bolivia Migration, change of vehicle to a 4x4 jeep. Visit to Laguna Blanca, walking approach to Laguna Verde. We continue to the Salvador Dalí Desert, hot springs with the option of taking a bath. Visit to Geiser Sol de Mañana, Laguna Colorada, and we continue to VILLAMAR to our hotel (MALLKU CUEVA or similar), where you will stay the first night.
DAY 2
VILLAMAR - VALLEY OF ROCKS - SALT PALACE OR SALT MOON.
Breakfast. 6:00 AM Departure to visit the Valley of Rocks such as the World Cup, El Camello, Lost Italy, Mysterious Lagoon, Vinto Lagoon, Mirador de la Anaconda, and Sora where you can see animals of the area.
Accommodation at HOTEL DE SAL TAMBO LOMA or similar (depends on availability) private room with private bathroom.
DAY 3
UYUNI SALTLAKE – END TOWN OF UYUNI.
5:00 a.m. We see the sunrise in the Uyuni Salt Flats, we go to Incahuasi Island and then we enjoy the Salt Flats to take photographs. We also visit the Salt Museum, the Plaza de las Banderas, the artisanal town of Colchani, the Train Cemetery, ending our trip in the town of Uyuni, around 3 p.m.
